Enterprise Portfolio Management System Requirements Review
A defence organisation undertook major portfolios of work via structured processes and several departmental PMOs, but lacked the means to maintain overall strategic control and visibility. They wanted to explore the market for suitable portfolio management solutions that could improve reporting and provide assurance.
Caravel conducted a survey of the organisation’s project capability maturity and developed a set of requirements that identified options to provide immediate and longer term benefits to the organisation. As a result of the project, the client could articulate their diverse portfolio management requirements while a strategy was adopted that improved reporting and encouraged consistency in project delivery.

Program Management Review
Caravel’s client had recently identified shortcoming in their project delivery capability and need guidance on how to fix the problems. Caravel was engaged to perform a review of the project management structure, processes and procedures to deliver a more effective project delivery organisation. The resultant organisation delivered a greater focus on delivery, accountability and visibility of the program of work. Caravel was subsequently engaged to deliver the first phase of the organisation transformation work and to provide knowledge and skills transfer to the client personnel for subsequent phases.
